This is great. This piece hits the nail on the head: "t might earn you a nice commute in a nice car while you sip Starbucks and try not to spill it on your red tie, all the while waiting for the weekend. Is that lifestyle comprised of much freedom?"

Achievement of the idealized American Dream is a fairytale, and I'm surprised that young people still have this unrealistic expectation of "success." We need to deemphasize salary and concentrate on quality of life and MEANING in one's prospective profession. Why work as a corporate drone? To make a nickel to attempt to buy those material trinkets that we are advertised. They will not grant us true happiness; that comes from within, and from doing something with your life that is fulfilling.

An addendum to this piece could be the projected economic derangement of the U.S. economy, and the further minimized potential for even landing this fabled, vapid corporate career. That is the height of success: to bolster the oppressive status quo and decry the wonders of capitalism.

Grammy also remembers wearing rompers when I went to phys.ed. . They were either a putrid shade of green or dresden blue which was a big improvement. They were a onesy that had tight(uncomfortable) elastic around each leg which you gathered up to the top of thigh area and folded down to make a blousey effect that looked horrible if you had skinny legs(which I had two of). And of course a self belt to make you feel more uncomfortable when jumping around.

Now haven't things improved!!!!!
